How much does the Galaxy Z Fold 4 cost in the UK?
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a premium device, starting at £1,599 for 256GB of storage with the option to upgrade to 512GB or 1TB. It's water resistant and boasts various high-end specs like Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, 12GB RAM and Android 10 software.
That said, it's much more affordable to pay via a monthly contract deal. These start from just £25 a month for an 18-month contract.
And the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is probably worth the high price tag. It's an impressive performer in benchmark tests, scoring highly on Geekbench, UL and my own video editing test. It is faster than both Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and iPhone 14 (but slower than both devices combined, no sh*t).
Is the Z Fold 4's camera system any good?
You bet. The camera on the Z Fold 4 may not be as advanced as that on the newer S23 models, but it still offers impressive results with 50MP wide, 12-MP ultrawide and 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital space zoom. Plus, it boasts Super Steady video stabilization plus 4K recording at up to 60fps for smooth video capture.
Its screen is as good as any high-end phone, boasting a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus Plus for scratch resistance. There's a slight crease on the outer display but it's barely perceptible and mostly undetectable when watching video or playing games.
With the Z Fold 4, Samsung has completely revamped their folding phone design and feel - while it may be thicker when closed, it is much more manageable when opened out. Furthermore, this model utilizes higher-grade aluminium frames along with Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection to make it more durable.

This main display measures 7.6 inches in size and boasts AMOLED panels with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It boasts vibrant colours and an incredible pixel density - comparable to what you'll find on premium phones.
Multitasking in the Galaxy Z Fold 4 -- but at a cost. Multitasking is one of the big selling points for this foldable, and its software offers some excellent solutions. Each window has its own dedicated tab and you can navigate between them using the taskbar.
Surprisingly, it's an effective way to organise your calendar, catch up on emails, access maps and surf the internet without opening multiple applications at once. Basicaly, it just works.
Why is the Galaxy Z Fold 4 so expensive?
There are a few things that may deter some potential buyers, the main one being the price point. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is significantly pricier than most flagships and this may leave some people questioning if it's worth making such an investment.
Thankfully, there are some excellent deals out there. O2 UK for instance is offering up to £500 of trade-in credit with an eligible trade and activation on an unlimited plan via their O2 Refresh scheme.
